Residents of Orana have a reason to look forward to June, with the much-anticipated park at the corner of Mellow Place and Ochre St set to open — designed with the community, for the community.

After months of careful planning and landscaping works, the newest park within Orana Estate is nearly ready to welcome the community. Located at the corner of Mellow Place and Ochre Street in Stage 22, this beautifully designed green space reflects everything Orana stands for — a place where neighbours become friends, families gather, and everyday moments become lasting memories.

What makes this park particularly special is how it came to life. Rather than designing in isolation, the Orana team went directly to the people who know the community best — its residents. Through a collaborative process, locals shared what they wanted to see in their next park, and that feedback has shaped every element of the final design. The result is a space that genuinely belongs to the people who will use it most.

Completion is on track for June this year, and the results speak for themselves. From the moment you step off the footpath, you’re greeted by lush native gardens, mature deciduous trees casting dappled autumn light, and wide, generous lawns that invite you to simply slow down and enjoy the surrounds.

Little ones will love the dedicated playground area, complete with a fun mound slide, all sheltered beneath generous shade sails so families can enjoy outdoor time comfortably through the warmer months. The multi court / basketball court gives older kids and adults a space to be active and connect, while the barbecue facilities and picnic areas create the perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon with friends and neighbours.
