COMMUNITY
Designed to be a welcoming ‘home’ for the residents, the Orana Community Place is a space where people can meet, learn, discover, relax, laugh, share, and create meaningful connections. It’s the heart of a thriving neighbourhood, and the perfect setting to bring our community together.
The Orana Community Place is managed by City of Casey and is home to Orana’s first café, Humble Merchant, as well as a Maternal Health Service and a range of events and activations for the whole family.

A defining feature of Orana will be the mixed-use local town centre adjoining the community. The walkable Orana Town Centre will be the heart of the community, more than just a place to do the weekly supermarket shopping. Home to a full range Coles Supermarket, as well as all the essential services and retailers you’d expect, Orana Village will be open in 2026.

Arts and culture feature in all parts of community life at Orana. This will include arts-based events and festivals, which will create opportunities for local and emerging artists to contribute to the rich tapestry of the Orana creative community.
Balcon Group is a principal partner of Bunjil Place Arts Fund, the City of Casey’s arts precinct.
Orana is part of the Homes for Homes program, where a percentage of all sales proceeds are donated to support local social housing. Balcon Group will make a separate initial contribution to this program, as part of our mission to contribute to the continuing growth of the area.
