Construction Update – August 2024

We hope this message finds you well. We’re excited to bring you the latest updates on construction progress and community developments within Orana.
Stage 18
We’re thrilled to announce that we have received formal Statement of Compliance for Stage 18. This has initiated the process of formalising individual lot titles with Land Use Victoria. While the process is now with the Victorian Titles Office, we anticipate that official title registrations will be completed within the next two weeks.
Stage 19
In Stage 19, final concrete and asphalt works are underway. Unfortunately, recent rain has caused some delays, but our civil team is diligently working to keep things moving forward. We expect to receive Practical Completion approval from the Council within the next two weeks and will then begin the formal Statement of Compliance process. Title registration is projected for late September 2024.
Interim Community Garden:
We’re excited to announce that the installation of the community garden is complete! The planter boxes are in place, and landscaping is finalised. We have a working bee planned for next month, and we invite residents to join the Orana Community Garden Facebook Group to stay involved and updated.
Interim Dog Park:
We’re delighted to introduce our interim dog park, which will be located near the sales office car park on the oval patch of grass. The park will be fully fenced to ensure the safety of our furry friends. Although this is a temporary setup, we’re committed to creating a great space for pets and their owners until a permanent park is ready. The dog park will be easily accessible and located close to the Humble Merchant café, toilets, and ample parking. We’ve carefully positioned it away from existing homes to address any concerns. We expect the park to be ready by the end of the year and will keep you updated with progress reports and milestones.
Next Park:
In addition to the interim dog park, we are making significant strides in planning the next park. We are working closely with the council to expedite its development based on your feedback. While we are still reviewing and adjusting adjacent roads and infrastructure, schematic plans for the new park are progressing well, incorporating insights from the recent community survey. We’re targeting a completion date in 2026 and will keep you informed of our progress.
