Who is responsible for any rubbish that may be dumped on my block after I settle?

Prior to settlement Balcon will remove any rubbish that has been left on your land. Once you have settled, the block belongs to you and any rubbish removal is your responsibility at your cost. We recommend installing temporary fencing immediately after settlement to reduce your risk of rubbish dumping.

How long do I have to build my home?

As stipulated in the design guidelines; construction must commence within 12 months of the settlement date. Once construction has commenced, the dwelling must be completed within 12 months.

Can I inspect my block prior to settlement?

Yes, we encourage you to do a site inspection. When it is time to inspect your block, one of our sales team members will contact you, this is usually once titles are registered.

However, we are able to allow valuers for access the site 4 weeks prior to title release to assist with arranging finance.

Do I have to attend settlement in person?

No, you do not have to attend settlement in person. Your legal representative will undertake all tasks needed to ensure the settlement process is carried out successfully.

When can I visit my Lot?

Due to safety regulations and ongoing construction activities, we must restrict access to your block of land for the duration of the construction period. This decision is made to ensure the safety of all parties involved and to comply with relevant safety and legal standards.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Rest assured, we are committed to completing the construction as efficiently and safely as possible.

We will provide confirmation when you can inspect your lot prior to settlement and when it is safe to do so.
